I have two 6 month old kittens that are spayed sisters, Squeaky and Charlie. Up until now they have been as normal as any other kittens. Now one of them, Squeaky, is taking soft toys such as my cat-shaped beanie baby, as well as socks and gloves, and dragging them under the bed. She sits under there with the item in her mouth and growls. Her sister is scared to go near her at these moments. When we manage to coax her out we hold her by the scruff and take the item away. She will run around frantically for a few minutes looking for it before she calms down. I try to hold her and comfort her until she returns to normal. I have removed all her toys from sight, but she is always finding something else. It this territorial? An aggressive mothering instinct? I want to make sure my kittens are not in emotional distress.

Thanks very much.
