Yes, I've tried it for my 6 year old male neutered Bengal who has been spraying ever since I got a new kitten over a year ago.
I tried him on Elavil 10 mg 1x day. He's too smart and totally fought me which just stressed up both out. When I finally did get it in him he foamed at the mouth for a few minutes and then was a totally different cat. Just like you said, disconnected and out of it and I felt so ashamed for giving it to him. He has since been better with only a mistake once in a while, but I may have to revert to it again when I instrodue another kitten next month...
Let me know if you find something better. (I try to use Bach's Rescue Remedy on his ears every once in a while and that seems to help more than the Feliway...)
