I'll try to make this short...(all cats are fixed) I have a 17 year old Abby, a 7 year old Bengal and a 1/5 year odl mixed breed (rescue). The Bengal has had issues with the young one since the beginning. Even though the young one has never initiated a fight. The Bengal was NOT the alpha when my 18 year old mixed breed was alive and he was actually the youngest in the home, but ever since the old male passed away and a few months later I rescued the young one at 10 weeks, the Bengal has peed on his toys, peed where he likes to sleep, sprayed on my drapes and walls adn furniture and generally has made it diffifult for me. I have been armed with Feliway plug-ins, spray and Nature's Miracle for the last year and will continue, along with Bach's Rescue Remedy and Territorial Relief herbal oils. How long should this battle continue? I mean, they play together, sleep together, but also fight, sometimes wickedly with hissing. I'm trying to find a resolution because I'm adding another rescue cat who will be the only female in a couple of weeks. No one wants to adopt her from our rescue and I want to give her a good home. She is slightly disabled but has a lot of 'tude. I want to keep things as calm as possible and I have a fairly large home, each cat has thier own litterbox...any suggestions???? The only sure way is to take the Bengal out of th epicture and that isn't an option.
