Hi again!

That is a great site, I bookmarked it. Thanks! I have a book about Bachflowers for humans, so it's good to see the interpretations for animals. (I never thought to google it! Duh! Lol!)

Rescue Remedy has Star of Bethlehem, Rock Rose, Impatiens, Cherry Plum and Clematis, all are decribed on that site.

It is actually intended for moments of great shock and panic/fear, where one is almost frozen, unable to think clearly or do the right thing, either because of an accident, or a fight, or a frightening/disturbing situation. They are also used for unsconsciousness, or as a precaution - before going to the doctor/vet for example, but Bach points out they should not be taken on a regular basis, but kept for emergencies. They can also be used on a bandage on wounds.

Samantha is certainly stressed if she gets beaten up a lot, and the Cherry Plum is certainly good for her. Maybe Aspen would be good for her too? It's for when you always expect something bad to happen, as she might do if Simba is after her a lot.

It's a good idea to put it on your hands and pet them, I never thought of that! I have sometimes used the sugar pills instead of the alcohol solution and just popped them in their mouth. But I don't know if you get them in the US.

I simply adore Edward Bach! He was a normal allopathic doctor in London, and gave it all up (reputation, good income) to spend most of his time in the countryside looking for flowers and experimenting with them. He must have been so sensitive.

A few snippets from the book I have:
- you can also put the bottle with the remedie near the cat (about 8 inches away) when it sleeps.
- if you bath your cats, you can put a few drops in their bath water.
- a course of Bachflowers for animals is much shorter than for humans because they are much more sensitive than we are. The Bach Center in London says 3 - 10 days. (1 - 20 months for humans!)
- you can give up to 6 Bachflowers together.
- sometimes you can get a 'first reaction' when you start giving a certain remedy, similar to when you take homoeopathic remedies. Symptoms/problems can suddenly worsen for a short period of time before they get better. If this happens you can be certain to have chosen the right remedy. It's as if negative feelings are washed to the surface. Just continue the drops.

I wish you good luck, and if you have any more questions just ask me. And let us know how it went!

Tilda
