I was having the same problem with one of my boys. It worked with me when I started smothering him with attention. He has stopped all marking.

One way to tell if it is behavioral or physical with a male is if he is squatting to go (physical), or lifting his tail and arching his back to go along walls and doors.

I really hope your baby mellows out. I know how much of a pain the cleaning can be. There are some cat owners on the meow chat "What's Mew Meeting Hall" board that medicate their cats for it. Maybe go over there and ask or go to meow chat to ask. Since it is a place where cats talk, you might want your cat to post there and ask for help.
