Has anyone had any experience with the drug Amitriptyline? I've given it to my cat ro urine marking/spraying, but the dosage zoned him out. The vet suggested I cut the pill in half and he was still zoned out, so I cut it into quarters and it has not seemed to help with his marking/spraying. If I give him the 1/2 again dose will he eventually not be so zoned out? Will I be able to wean him off of it or will he be on it for life?

Any help is appreciated.
