Cats (and all animals for that matter) don't think and feel as we do about sex or sexual organs. For them it's just another part of the body, just like his other body parts are visible to you and anyone, so is his penis. Don't attach any importance to it. It isn't. And there is no need to feel embarrassed or uncomfortable because of it. His penis might be visible more often now that they start to become sexually mature. When you have them neutered it should be visible less often. At least that's my experience with my own cats. Really, don't worry, there's nothing 'bad' about the whole thing!
