I am so sorry you are having to cope with all this at once!

I am concerned about the cat even though she checks out medically normal. I can't help but suspect there may be something medically wrong. You might want to have her re-checked by another vet - that is not to say your first vet is bad, but vets have run into different things and perhaps a second vet might have experienced something like this with one of his/her clients. A feline specialist would be a good choice.

Anyhow, if it is stress she is in a bad way. Talk with your vet about using anti-anxiety meds and also see if s/he can recommend a good animal behaviorist. In the meantime, you might want to try rubbing a couple of drops of Rescue Remedy into her ear tips a couple of times a day. Sometimes this is reputed to help.

Good luck!

Smile, it will make them wonder what you are up to!
