have you had her checked for hyperthyroid? i had a 22 year old cat...my beloved mokie passed oct 28...and she would wonder around the house an 'talk' alot too with a toy in her mouth. i asked my vet once and he thinks it was becasue she was getting old, senile and hard of hearing. she did have hyperthyroid too. with the hyperthyroid she was hungry ALL THE TIME and also picky and seemed restless alot. (she was on a med that control the thyroid.) esp in her last days. i think part of that too was she didn't have to many teeth left so hard for her to eat some things.
some nights though smokey would just talk all over the house. but as soon as she saw me she would stop and want some lovin. :0)
i hope you have your baby for a few more years yet. this is my beloved mokie...
