Or as I like to say: They took away the equipment but didn't do a frontal lombotamy. If you disagree with the behaviour keep a squirt bottle next to your bed. When he engages in the unwanted behaviour squirt him and firmly tell him no. He'll soon learn that to equate the behaviour with a negative concequence. Hope this helps!
