Hi Izzy,

I think when a cat talks a lot it is just part of his personality and not an actual behavior problem. An exception might be if a cat that is normally very quiet is suddenly meowing a lot.....this could be a red flag that something is wrong. Same with a cat that talks a lot becoming suddenly very quiet.

I always give my cats the attention they want when they want it. Is there some reason why you don't want to do this? If you think the meowing is because your cat wants attention, why don't you give it to him and see if he quiets down. Also, why not talk to your neighbors and find out if the meowing is bothering them or not........this may end up being a non-issue.

I love it when my cats talk to me, but I also know that we are all different.

Take care,

PHKitkat
