I have posted regarding this before on another board. About 4 months ago I introduced a new cat into a household with 2 resident ones. It has been a pretty smooth, but not perfect, introduction.
My concern is that she still has not warmed up to me. After being initially compliant, she has become very fussy about being petted or picked up or held, does not like being groomed, and will ocassionally swat, growl or hiss at me when I pet her. She doesn't hide from me, and actually will come out when strangers arrive, but she rarely seeks my lap out, and is not at all cuddly like my other two.
Might she just be a "cold fish" or require more time getting used to me? Her previous owner (she is 6) said she was a sweetheart, but I understand he hardly paid any attention to her and travelled a lot. I spend a lot of time with my cats and like to pay attention to them, so maybe she is not used to that.
