Every cat is different. I have three beautiful babies; A Russian Blue, a Turkish Angora and a Domestic Short Hair.

The Russian Blue loves to be held like a baby and rocked while having lullabies sung to him. This can be tiring as he's not exactly a light weight cat. LOL

The Turkish Angora likes me to sing to him, but he doesn't want to be held while I do it. He sings along with me.

The Domestic Short Hair just wants me to shut up already and PET her.

I don't think there's anything strange at all with singing to our cats. For many of us, they are our babies. So we treat them like spoiled children.
