Sounds like you have met your soul cat. Oliie is mine. He is not as affectionate as Murray seems to be, but we have our own language and means of communication.
Treats MUST be out on the floor everyday. The bathroom water faucet MUST be turned on if I am in the bathroom.
He makes his rounds every morning while I am getting ready for work. If the litterbox, the food dishes, or the water supply does not meet his standards he will stand beside whatever needs attention and meow his little head off until I fix it.
He understands a massive amount of the spoken English language, but chooses to ignore it most of the time.
Glad you and Murray found each other.
