Hi, my husband and I have a 2 year old Siamese mix cat (Simon). We would like to adopt a puppy. What would be the best way to do this?

I had a neighbor who got a puppy and their cat runs into the laundry room all the time there, and wont' come out. I don't want that to happen to Simon.

Also, I had 2 bad experiences trying to integrate a new kitten into my household, because Simon terrorized them, and we eventually had to give them back. I don't want the puppy to be terrorized, even though eventually he will be bigger than Simon.

I don't think my cat will claw the puppy. He never clawed at the kittens, or at us. But he does bite!

Any advice?
