That's why I use the unscented scoopable litters. I used to swear by Scoopaway until the unscented was increasingly harder to find. Just think about how sensitive a cats nose is...if we only smell a little perfume scent in the litter, they smell it 50 times stronger. I have found not that much difference in the clumping ability of the lower priced clumping litters as apposed to Scoopaway.
