I mix ScoopAway and Tidy cat and sometimes mix in an expensive one called Everfresh from Petsmart because it seems to help on odor. There have been earlier comments somewhere around here that it is best NOT to use a clumping litter for kittens because they are so bad about eating everything while they're exploring. You might just get the plain, non-clumping kind until she's grown enough to not check everything out with her mouth! Although the clumping is handy, it's better to be safe than sorry and you wouldn't want her to ingest the clumping. Great that your neighbor has deaf cats but surely she's not breeding them!! Still hope you take a second one; maybe there's one that hears. Katc
