Aby is right. A vet visit is a must. He might have some sort of illness that he is trying to tell you about. Next after the vet has ruled out any illness you may want to try to retrain kitty to the box. Try containing him in a small room with litter box food and water. Usually the bathroom works well.
Have you been cleaning the spot with Natures Miracle? That well help get the smell up out of your floor.
