My Mixi (3 year old female Himilayan) has no problems using the litter box to urinate, and only occasionally has a problem with pooping, but she will generally go just outside her box or on my bed. It really seems like she's mad about something but I can't put my finger on what it would be. Today I just washed my bedding and as soon as I made my bed she crapped all over it! She seems to like to do it right after I clean it, like she's seriously seeking revenge on me for something!
Mixi and I just got back into town after cat-sitting for my brother and his cats used her litter a little bit, so I'm wondering if that's why she's copping an attitude about pooping there, but I don't know. I made sure her litter was scooped clean when we got home so that's not an issue.
I don't have any other cats and Mixi only pulls this once in a while. I am having company this weekend and will not be pleased if she acts up like this during that time, especially since I will be sharing my bed with this company!!!
