If you find more spots, the cat needs to go to the vet for a check up ASAP. Urinating outside of the box often means there is a urinary infection present.

Also cats can be attracted to plastic and pee on that as well, so if you leaked water out of the punching bag and it had a plastic smell, this could be a reason.

You want to deodorize wherever the cat has been peeing. Petastic is highly recommended as is Heaven's Own. It is the smell of the "accidents" that causes a cat to reuse the place and you don't want that to happen.

So bottom line here - deodorize the spot and if the kitty doesn't use it again, then there isn't an issue. However if the kitty continues to use the spot, or if he pees on other places then you'll need a vet visit for sure
