My 1 year old Maine has been peeing outside the litterbox, but I don't think it's a behavioral problem. She gets in the box but her rear hangs over the back when she goes so it goes right outside. I think she really just thinks that since everything else is in the box that she's going in it too. She's a rather large cat (as Maines tend to be), so she's very tall for a cat.

She doesn't seem to care to much about burying it (my other cat is somewhat obsessive compulsive about that in contrast and will bury hers for her). I have a box with a high sides attachment, and had a closed one with a door before. In the closed one, her rear would just stick out the door.

Anyone got any ideas?
