Hi,

The first step should always be a trip to the vet to rule out the possibility of a urinary tract infection. You also want to be sure that your kitty doesn't have crystals in his urine or a bladder stone.

I realize that you have gone through this before, but that has been a few months ago. A lot can happen in that period of time.

Before you decide your cat is "bad" you need to consider that there may be a medical reason for what he is doing. If you find out that he is healthy, then you can consider confining him, but I would recommend confining to a room, rather than a cage.
