>>She is not white she is a tabby mixture, probally with some maine coon in her. I have never truley known why she is deaf. The doctor say her eardrums so she has the right equipment. When I first got her I noticed she never responded to sounds. I tryed clapping really loud behind her head and not even a twitch. Keys begs, music you name it. I knew for sure when she tryed to sleep on the vacume while I was vacumming!

Yeah, sounds like she's definately deaf lol, but keep in mind that the eardrum is only a minisule part of what makes hearing. Having her eardrums doesn't nessessarily mean that she has all the equiptment. For instance, there is the choclear nerve, the hammer, the anvil, the sterup, and cillia (the vibrating tiny hairs, behind the eardrum in the inner ear). If any of these things are not functioning or not present at all then she will not be able to hear. Depending on the problem, she may have been deaf from birth, lost it slowly (or quickly) over time, or she may have lost her hearing due to the injuries you spoke of. How is she doing now? Hope all is well! -- Jennifer
