Something has happened which has upset the status quo in your household. Has any cat gone to the vet and returned recently. Have you moved any furniture, bought new furniture or gotten rid of any furniture? Is there a new person/child living in the household? Any other redecorating projects? Any other animals visiting? Any abrupt noises?

Can your cat see outside? She may have been startled and is taking out her feelings on the other cat. This is called re-directed aggression.

You should have the cat in question thoroughly examined by a vet. Keep both cats widely separated for at least two weeks. If the vet cannot find anything definite, ask about using some sort of anti-anxiety meds like Buspar or Prozac and also see if you can get a referral to an animl behavorist.

Good luck. Let us know what happens!

Smile, it will make them wonder what you are up to!
