My cat loves to paw at the posters on the wall. He has been doing this since he was a kitten, and he is now 2 years old. He climbs up on a desk or a shelf so he can reach the poster, then he paws at it using both his paws alternately, and very quickly. He does it for sometimes 10 minutes at a time. He does not have his claws out. He isn't scratching it or tearing it up. He sometimes meow's when doing this. It's funny and I don't understand it.

He does the same thing to the glass shower door when one of us is in the shower, as if he is trying to get in.

He does the same thing to doors when he wants out or in.

No claws out, he just paws at them.
