So we have a 1 yr old non-neutered Himilayan persian cat. We got him when he was 10 weeks old. Great cat, love him to death!

One wierd thing he does at night just bugs me though. He gets up in our hair and nests. He acts really possesive with us if we move or try to get up. He meows really loudly and puts his paw on our faces too. It's just strange! I don't know any other word for it! He is obviously enjoying himself, because he is purring up a storm and has his eyes closed the entire time.

Tonight he went too far though, when my 8 yr old daughter was getting her back rubbed by me and I fluffed out her hair, then our cat Gizzmo climbed on top of her head (literally!) and started 'nesting'. When I tried to pet him he yelped really loud and made a noise that let me know he didn't want me petting him. Then he went too far by biting my daughter on the eye. It was almost like he couldn't get comfortable and he was biting her because she was moving. Well she made a really loud OUCH sound and then he knew he had gone too far.
Any ideas on this strange behavior?
Thanks!
A concerned kitty-mommy
