Hello, I am new here so hello!

I was wondering if someone can explain to me why my cat hates my kids? She will sleep on their beds, but if they come into the room she will bolt or hiss at them. My kids are 4 and 6, they love her (why I don't know), and just want to be friends with her. Torro, will only sit with me or my wife. She is a nervous cat and always has been, she is now 10 years old.

Torro came into the family before we had kids, but I already had 2 cats, all same sex, and unfortunately they passed on nearly 5 and 3 years ago, one was 18 the other 20.

She gets loved and looked after, has a free roam of the house and outside, she always comes up on the bed when I go to bed, will sit with me for 5 mins and then bugger off. in the morning she will come up and stay till I get up.
