my 10 year old cat, who has slept in bed with me and my husband (usually cuddled under my armpit) has recently refused to sleep with us and rarely, if ever, goes into the bedroom any more. she recently started to occasionally come up in the morning and sit on my side or perches on my chest and purrs, but that too is rare. she used to bash make-up off the bathroom vanity to wake me up and then cuddle with us while we watched the news. there are no changes in my our schedules or married life. she even refuses to eat the upstairs food (we keep a bowl of nibbles upstairs in the bedroom, and one down by the kitchen...my husband and i eat breakfast in bed, and she likes to eat where we eat.). she has pretty much allocated herself to my jacket on a barstool, or a stack of pool towels by the sliding door. she still virtually ALWAYS sits on my husband's lap while he's watching tv and purrs. PLEASE HELP!!
