Hi There,

Cats are primarily carnivores, but some of them do like veggies. My cats really like peas and broccoli and some will nibble on fresh spinach. There is no harm in allowing this as long as the cat doesn't experience any digestive upset. In the wild, cats will eat the contents of the stomachs of their prey, so they do get some veggies this way.

Grains are what should be limited in a cat's diet. They are unable to digest carbs correctly and this can lead to problems, as they don't even have the necessary enzymes to digest them. For this reason cat food should be high in protein and low in carbs.

Regards,
PHKitkat
