Hi There,

I have a few cats that carry their favorite toys around and cry, both males and females. In many cases I do believe that the toy is a substitute "baby", in other cases I believe it is similar to a cat security blanket. Either way it does seem like the toy has been adopted by the cat.

With the males, I sometimes find their favorite toys beside them as they sleep. Interestingly, both of my boys who do this tend to be insecure cats.

This behavior is fairly normal and I think it's adorable. Even though the cat may sound pitiful it's only because the cat is meowing with something in it's mouth.

Regards,
PHKitkat
