I have a dlh named Disco...had him since he was 8 weeks old...He is now 6 years old. He's neutered. The thing is, he is oddly over affectionate. He purrs and purrs, loudly I might add, no matter what his mood is. He doesn't play fight. He's deathly afraid of heights, the empty bathtub, and any empty sink. He drools. He tries to groom my other male cat. He lays flat on his back with his legs spread on the floor. He'll let anyone do anything to him (i.e. pulling his tail, and other things kids will do) and purrs loudly during the "abuse". He'll run across the hardwood floor, slide straight into the wall...yep...still purring. It seems he has no animal instincts...In the 6 years I've had him he has NEVER hissed or shown any aggressive behaviour typical of cats. Does he have a mental retardation problem or is this just his personality? Either way, he's my baby and I love him Thank you for your reply.
