Hey there! New to the cat boards, usually post on the dogs. But I am going to be switching my puppy over to the BARF diet and want to switch my cat as well. I have heard so many wonderful things about it. But there does tend to be more information about dogs and BARF. Does anybody here feed BARF to their cats? What percentage of body weight is fed typically in a day. Do they usually get fed once or twice a day on BARF?
Also, does it tend to be similar to the dog's version of BARF? With mostly chicken, some beef, and organ meats? What types of fish would you feed, does it matter? Along with veggies fruits and dairy (yogurt or cottage cheese...actually my cat steals my string cheese damned her lol). She currently is on 9 Lives dry in the AM and dry and wet in the PM. She eats it sparingly and doesn't seem interested. I've attempted other foods and she's not having it. This is my reason for wanting to try BARF other than I want my animals to be as close to natural as possible. My Rats are on a BARF and make my own grain mix from natural ingredients for my horse.
Anybody that uses this if you could maybe post the amounts you use and what ur typical daily meals consist of that would be great! Also, are eggs and shells good for cats as they are for dogs.
