Yes, what I meant is that she is on a strict diet of deer meat. The vet told me to find a source of protien she had never been exposed to. I doubt that she has ever hunted down a deer.
As far as the medical collar goes, she has worn one in the past, and ended up hurting herself trying to get that off, too. I just can't see making her wear one for the rest of her life. Like I said, it has been over a year that she has been like this.
I am at a loss as to what to do here. I have had her for 7 years, and bottle fed her as a baby. I do not want to let her go, but I just can't provide her a happy home anymore, and I don't think I caould find someone to take her that would be willing to deal with this. She pretty much needs to be an only cat, and I have many.
When she gets her steroid shot once a month, it tends to get better some, and she deffinitely feels better for a bit, but the vet seems very against keeping he ron them for the rest of her life. That looks like what we are going to need to do.
