As for sewing the eyes shut - I'd go on the advice of your vet. It may save the kitty from infection and complications. These would be the only issues I'd have with the cat if I were in your shoes.

A blind cat is certain an option and is usually very content as long as its humans help it along the way. Thanks for keeping Socket!
