This has me stumped completely! I know that many kitties don't like to have their belly touched because they feel so vulnerable, but I guess a Himmie would need some brushing in that area.

Can you try a gradual approach? Try touching the kitten lightly on the belly with the brush, then reward him with whatever is the ultimate cat treat. Then increase the "touch time" and finally start a gradual "groom time". This may take a year, but may be worth it in the long run.

Good luck! I hope someone else has a better idea than this!
