Alot of vets will wait to do them at 6 months b/c thats been the standard for so very long. However alot of the newer vets have alot of pediatric surgery training and are starting to do them at 2lbs and at least 8 weeks with no complications. It also does seem to add to a better recovery time and less hormonal issues some cats can get to at 6 months.
