oh, i'm so sorry to hear about your Jack (and the other FIP cats in your life.) FIP is an awful condition, as you've learned.

personally, i have never heard of any specific link between vaccination and FIP, however, it could make sense if you accept the proposition that FIP is triggered by stress. since a genetic component is so strongly suspected in FIP, even the basic shots could be too much for the immune system to handle.

>>We've just learned our 6-month-old kitten has effusive FIP. We've lost two others to dry FIP and know the difficulty we and our kitten, Jack, have ahead of us in the coming days. I sympathise with all who have encountered this vicious disease.
>>
>>I've done much research online and know the cause, prognosis and other details regarding lack of effective testing, treatment, etc... However, I'm writing to see if anyone has had a similar situation to ours. Jack's symptoms came on abruptly just 3 days after he had his FVRCP shot. I found one other similar scenario. Ironically, it was a kitten named Jackie who developed effusive FIP not long after her shot. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the URL, but if you google "FIP, Jackie" it will come up. Seems like an unusual coincidence.

>>Has anyone else gone through or heard of this happening?
>>
>>Thank you,
>>Jack's mom
