First try raising the food dishes up a few inches so the cat doesn't have to bend over so much to eat.

Then see if you can get your hands on a rice/duck or duck/pea type cat food. Your vet should know how to get that for you. You may have to experiment for a while and see if there is a special formula food the cats can tolerate.

Frankly, I would also find another vet and get a second opinion. Perhaps a feline only specialist or a veterinary gastrologist if you have one in your area. The cat should not be so very sick.
