Hi,

It might be a good idea for the dental specialist to take another look at your kitty. Especially since antibiotics do not seem to be helping.

If everything had been done correctly, your cat would be well healed by now. Since the veterinary dentist was the last vet to work on your baby, she should be the one to recheck him. Your cat may even have developed another abscess which might not be resistant to the antibiotic he is on.

As far as a vet that does not consider force-feeding as part of routine treatment in an anorexic cat, I would go elsewhere. IV fluids can only do so much. Anyone who works in an animal hospital can easily be shown how to force feed a sick patient and it does not take a lot of time, as you know.

Take care, and please let us know how things go.

Regards,

PHKitkat
