Charlotte is home safe and sound...but groggy...from the vets.
She went in this morning and had her dental surgery.
They ended up having to remove SIX! of her teeth.
All on the left side of her mouth, top and bottom!
That is the side that she was so sensitive on, and would pull back if we touched that side of her face.

She will be on antibiotics for another 10 days, due to the amount of infection she had.

The good news is...her blood sugar was only 5 today. Last week it was at 12. 8 is the high end of normal. The vet said that she probably had a high rating last week just from being so stressed out from being at the vets. Today they took the sample while she was under anaesthesia. So, he said not to worry about diabetes. But, her weight does still need to come down.

My big girl will now get soft cat food until Sunday, then it's back to her dry cat food....in moderation. No more buffet style eating for her.
It's going to be SO hard for me to be strict with her. She has such a pitiful meow. It's more of a snuffle.
But...I will be firm...and not give in. It's in her best interest, and I want her to be around as long as possible.

hmmm..maybe we'll diet together. After the $300 I spent today at the vets...it's not like I can afford groceries anyway.

But...Charlotte is worth every penny!!!!
