Has anyone had experience with a kitten/cat with a redundant colon? I adopted a kitten a few weeks ago and the kitten has been consistently vomiting at night for the past week (he vomits undigested food and bile consistently at 11pm each night). Upon taking x-rays, the local vet concluded that the kitten has a redundant colon. He administered an enema to clear out blockage and prescribed a laxative. Over the last couple of days after the enema, the kitten's vomiting has been reduced, but not eliminiated. I have a couple of questions:

1) How long should we wait to see results from the laxatives?
2) Should a surgical option (to fix the redundant colon) be considered? When? How much does this surgery typically go for?

Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts.
