This sounds like something that cannot wait until next week. Please find someone who is willing to take this kitten to the vet. It is never a good idea to try to treat something like this on your own. Many medications that are helpful to us are toxic to cats, even something like an ointment.
My guess is that this lump is an abscess. If this is true, and it isn't treated ASAP, the kitten may become seriously ill. It's just not worth taking that risk. A young kitten can become ill very quickly.
BTW, all of these babies need to be started on their vaccinations. If this hasn't happened yet, that is another thing that cannot wait. A kitten with distemper or severe URI is a very sad thing.
