Hi
On Saturday I got up and my cat, Briscoe, was his usual rambunctious self. We played he ate - life was good. I had a few errands to run and left to attend to them. When I returned Briscoe was very lethargic and by the evening he was vomiting clear liquid with white foam looking stuff on top. I took him to the vet first thing on Sunday and they ran a full physical, CBC, feline AIDS/leukemia, and a slew of other tests.
Briscoe had a fever of 105!
They gave him a shot for vomiting and an antibiotic shot as well as a pack of pills for me to give him over the next 7 days (also antibiotics).
I called the vet today and he said that his pancreas enzymes were high and asked if he had been eating today - I said no that he has mainly been lying down and resting and he said that we need the cancer results and he may need to be hospitalized and have an IV hooked into him...
Briscoe was fine on Saturday - I just don’t understand how something like this can happen so quickly! I love him so much - does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Any thoughts are greatly apprechiated!
