I adopted a third cat a few months ago. I suspect she was carrying ringworm, since she almost immediately developed bare patches on her coat (not correctly diagnosed until her third vet visit) and neither of my other cats had ever had a problem with this condition. The new cat has now had two doses of ringworm medication and will get a third in a few days. She's looking much better, but I'm not convinced the problem is under control. One of the other cats has had some minor problems on his ears and has also had two doses of meds; I'll take him in for a third just to be on the safe side. The third cat is, amazingly (cross your fingers) unaffected, and is the dog. How can I eradicate this disease? I've washed various throws, blankets, and bedspreads, but the cats also sleep on couches, chairs, etc., that can't be cleaned. Any advice on controlling the spread?
Nancy
