Hi,

Some cats are prone to these anal sac problems and have to have the sacs emptied on a regular basis. If the fluid builds up, an infection, or even an abscess, can develop. These can be very nasty and take awhile to clear up with treatment and antibiotics. In extreme cases, the anal sacs may have to be surgically removed.

I think you should start with a vet exam, including having the sacs emptied, and see what the vet recommends for follow-up.

Regards,
PHKitkat
