Hi,

I am so sorry that Mason isn't improving. I'll continue to keep both of you in my prayers.

Cats that stop eating are at risk of developing hepatic lipidosis, also known as fatty liver disease. This is very serious, and can be fatal, even if treated. For this reason, a cat that stops eating for more than 2 - 3 days needs to be force-fed. Often these kitties need a feeding tube for a period of time.

If your vet is not force-feeding Mason, please take him somewhere else. There is nothing wrong with trying appetite stimulents, but if they don't work something further needs to be done.

Please keep us updated.

Regards,
PHKitkat
