I have two male cats and 2 females. My one male got into a fight and sustained an injury to his right shoulder to leg region. It was draining good yesterday with pus and blood. My vet (we had an injury like this last year with our other cat) said that if it was draining to leave it (these are outdoor cats) and he will keep licking it. Today it has stopped draining but is still swollen. He is not limping as much anymore and appears to be able to put more pressure on it. Should I just keep an eye on it for a few days to make sure the swelling goes down. If it does not I think I will take him into the vet to have it lanced and drained. Any suggestions?
