My British Shorthair, Bluey does the same thing. I took him to the vet and she did x-rays and some chronic bronchitis did show up. I also spoke with his breeder and she told me this was common in British Shorthairs. They have short hair, not enough to form a hairball, but it gets in their throat. But bronchitis did show on the x-ray. staffordmom
