Hi There,

I think your cat may have a neurological issue and recommend a vet visit ASAP. If she hasn't had a blood panel in the last 6 months or so, I would have that done as well. One of the things you definitely need to rule out is the possibility of diabetes, as older, overweight cats are at highest risk. Neuro problems and/or weakness are fairly common in diabetic kitties also.

It's good that your kitty is losing weight, but it's also good to check with the vet on a regular basis to be sure she isn't losing too rapidly.
