Hi There,

Chances are that the kitten you found is not a Havana Brown. This breed is pretty rare and you are not likely to find one anywhere but through a breeder. Definitely not in the street.

Anyway, you saved a life and that is what is important!

Looks can be deceiving in cats. I have a cat that looks like a purebred tortie point siamese, but her mother was a brown tabby and the father was a black cat. I also have a cat that looks very much like a Burmese, although she is black. She was born feral, though.

Cat genetics are fascinating. It's always interesting to hear breeders talk about the different colors and patterns in whatever breed they have.
